Elizabeth L. Soucek, Esq.
Whether you are considering updating your estate plan or creating your estate plan for the first time the process can seem daunting and overwhelming. Without the correct and relevant information, what appears as “simple” might not be simple at all. This presentation is designed for attendees who want to learn about developing a comprehensive estate plan to protect themselves and those they love. DiPietro Law, LLC takes great pride in serving our close-knit community and educating our neighbors so that they feel empowered to make informed decisions. The presentations will cover the following:
Back to the Basics: Get to Know the Basic Elements of a Comprehensive Estate Plan
This section will focus on creating a plan for incapacity with an emphasis on powers of attorney and advance health care directives. We’ll also talk about creating a plan to provide for your loved ones with a Will. We’ll learn more about what a Will can do – and what it can’t do.
Making it Easy: Learn about Probate and How to Avoid It
Probate is a legal process that our family or friends may need to navigate when we pass away. We’ll take time to learn about the process. We’ll also discuss proven strategies to avoid probate and reduce the burden for our trusted decision makers if we become incapacitated or pass away.
Protect What You’ve Got: Learn About Protecting Assets from the Threat of Long-Term Care
Many are worried about the financial impact long term care may have on their life savings. This section will provide information about benefit programs available to assist with the cost of long-term care and how your estate plan can be developed to protect assets – whether you are simply preparing for the possibility of a future long term care event, or you or a loved one are in need of care today.
